All protocol fees support the Metaplex Foundation's nonprofit mission:
- **50%** converts to $MPLX tokens for DAO treasury
- **50%** supports long-term ecosystem sustainability

## Fee Payment

Fees are automatically included in transactions. No separate payment required.

## Rent Costs (Separate from Fees)

Account rent is separate from protocol fees:
